MANAGEMENT
HEWLETT PACKARD
- Tarunjeet Sarao
- Mike Horsten
Large
format imaging (LFI) and Colour Management there of was
handled effectively by Market Development Manager of HP India Ltd.
Mike Horsten of Color Gate Digital Output Solutions GmBH of
Hannover who have a RIP to drive the LFI device gave a brief
on the special features developed for the model. It has become
a fact that an image we are expected to reproduce does not
necessarily have a single destination. Because of the
diversity of application it might be put to and the diverse
devices we may have to use in the repro chain management of
colour becomes very important. It was discussed how colour
management relies on process control.
Day3:
Session3
AGFA
INDIA
PDF, Apogee, Work Flow, CtoP for
Commercial Printers
- P.V Manohar
- Veronioque Sierens
Ms.
Veronique Sierens presentation started with the mention of the
company’s involvement in developing the PDF format along
with Adobe way back in 1997. The 1997 Seybold Bulletin
predicted that PDF would be the future and it has come true
now.
PDF has
changed the documents are processed by using efficient,
reliable and compact PDF digital masters. In the workflow one
thing does not change the open prepress Interface OPI. A
server is a solution where files (Hires) can be centrally stored and freely accused.
Smaller LoRes files are used freely for position and reference
only in the documents to enhance the performance the of
workflow and the transfer over Ethernet. At the output stage
the LoRes files can be easily replaced by the HiRes just in
time.
